Sea Sessions Surf Music Festival in Bundoran has been named IMRO Live Music Festival of the Year 2016.
The award was presented at the annual IMRO awards ceremony in Dublin last night.
Sea Sessions was in the same category as major music events like Electric Picnic, Galway Arts Festival and Longitude.
Sea Sessions is now going into its 10th year.
It has just announced its line-up for 2017 which includes Primal Scream, The Coronas and Sigma.
Daniel Browne, one of the festival organisers, says each year the people of Bundoran host thousands of festival fans, they don’t hike up prices and they work hard to ensure a unique festival experience for those who attend.
