The Mandate trade union has this afternoon refuted suggestions that staff at the Tesco stores in Sligo and Ballina have decided not to take part in this week’s industrial action.
It had been expected that Tesco staff in Sligo would go on strike tomorrow and in Ballina on Friday, the 17th.
Mandate North West representative Ciaran Campbell told Ocean FM that because of a technical error in the original ballot, it would not be legal for staff in Sligo and Ballina to take part in strike action.
