The Taoiseach has emphasised that he does not want to see a return of the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic.
Enda Kenny made his comments in Sligo last night at a public meeting to consider the impact of Brexit.
Mr Kenny said he had reached agreement with the British Government towards ensuring no restoration of border controls.
And he said that Brexit presents both challenges and opportunities for Ireland, and for the North West region.
