A Sligo/Leitrim TD has voiced concern over plans to change the structure of the Money Advice and Budgeting Service, otherwise known as MABS.
The service is currently operated by individual boards across the country.
However, it is now proposed that these boards be regionalised into eight structures, with managers in charge of each.
Sinn Fein Deputy Martin Kenny says the new proposals are an attempt ‘to fix something that isn’t broken.’
