Mixed opinions in Ballyshannon about how Brexit might play out

Businesses in Ballyshannon are approaching Brexit with a wait and see attitude.

With the British Prime Minister not expected to implement Article 50 until March at the earliest and the whole process expected to take a number of years, some businesses don’t see the point in worrying just yet.

However, there are fears that a return to a hard border between the Republic and Northern Ireland could have a serious impact on business.

The prospect of tariffs on goods crossing the border is also a realistic one if Britain leaves the EU’s customs union.

Some local business people in the South Donegal town told Ocean FM their opinions on Britain leaving and it’s possible impact on them.
