There are 19 people waiting on trolleys in North West hospitals today according to figures from the Irish Nurse and Midwives Organisation.
This is significantly down from the high numbers of recent weeks.
14 patients are waiting for a bed in Letterkenny University Hospital with a further 5 on trolleys in the emergency department of Sligo hospital.
520 people are on trolleys nationally according to nurses.
The latest trolleywatch report from the INMO shows there are 54 patients waiting on a bed in Cork University Hospital alone.
The figure is up on yesterday’s tally of 459.
