Women’s Vigil takes place in Sligo today in solidarity with United States marches



A women’s vigil is taking place in Sligo today in solidarity with the women’s marches taking place across the United States.
Organisers say they are to highlight women’s rights on the first day of the new presidential administration of Donald Trump.
It’s taking place at the famine commemoration at St. John’s Hospital in Ballytivnan at 3pm.
Meanwhile, an anti-racism rally took place outside City Hall in Sligo yesterday evening to mark similar protests in the US on the day of Trump’s inauguration.
