A new group has come together in Sligo town to organise this year’s St Patrick’s Day Parade.
It’s a combination of members of the former St Patrick’s Day Parade Committee and those in Sligo Business Improvement District.
The chairman of the new parade group is businessman Finbarr Filan, who is also chairman of the Business Improvement District itself.
He says that when it comes to organising the annual parade in Sligo, there is a great legacy to protect and a high standard to maintain.
