Sligo man to appear before Criminal Court on murder charge

A Sligo man is to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice in the new year in relation to the murder of Martin Kivlehan in his home in Sligo over a year ago.

28 year old Keith Brady was before Sligo District Court this morning where he was served with the book of evidence by the Director of Public Prosecution.

Brady had been prevented from making a bail application as he is already serving a sentence in Castlerea prison.

Judge Kevin Kilrane granted senior counsel under legal aid to Brady after an application by his solicitor Eddie Henry.

Martin Kivlehan, known as Matt, was found dead in his home in August of last year.

Brady will appear before the Criminal Court in Dublin at it’s next sitting, expected to be in January.
