Taoiseach non-commital on jobs move from Sligo to Dublin

The Taoiseach was non committal in answering a Sligo/Leitrim TDs question about the decision to move more than 30 jobs from Sligo to Dublin.

32 jobs are to be moved from the information sector of the department of social welfare office in Sligo to Dublin.

Fianna Fail TD Marc MacSharry raised the matter in the Dail yesterday questioning when the government decided to reverse a successful policy of decentralisation.

Enda Kenny agreed the policy was successful but took the opportunity to to point out benefits the north west has seen in ongoing IDA and Wild Atlantic Way investment.
