Service won’t be affected at Donegal training center despite investigation

The ongoing Garda investigation at the Donegal Education Centre is not going to affect the work being done there.

An investigation is taking place following alleged financial irregularities at the training centre which is based in Donegal Town.

The majority of the centre’s funding comes from the department of education and skills and there are allegations of misappropriation of funds.

The Centre’s principal activity is to organise the ongoing professional development of teachers at primary and post primary level.

Director of the centre Jacqui Dillon says their staff are determined to continue providing that support.
