Fracking report due out this afternoon

The first report on fracking in Ireland by the Environmental Protection Agency is due to be released later this afternoon.

The research is expected to examine the potential impacts of fracking in Ireland, and comes one month after the Dáil unanimously accepted the principle of banning fracking in the country.

Much controversy has surrounded this research, particularly over the credibility of the research which was principally undertaken by CDM Smith.

Chairman of the Love Leitrim anti-fracking campaign Johnny Grogan says the group have their concerns ahead of the report.
