Farmers rights march to be remembered 50 years on



Well many farmers in the north west will remember a farmers rights march which took place to Dublin in 1966.

James Gallagher, the Chairperson of Leitrim IFA says it has led to significant steps in the farming sector over the years.

On the 50th anniversary this year it’s being remembered locally.

An event is taking place in Carrick on Shannon in Leitrim tonight and James Gallagher has been telling Ocean FM more:
