The Gardai have confirmed that they’re following a definite line of inquiry after two people fled the scene after a crash in Collooney last night.
The Collooney to Ballygawley road remains closed following the single-vehicle collision which happened at Ballygrania about half past six.
A car overturned and two people fled the scene, the Gardai state they are still investigating the incident but they are following a definite line of inquiry.
The Council has closed the road at the petrol station in Collooney and diversions are in place.
Eir has arrived at the scene and is working to fix the damaged poll.
Meanwhile, work on the Ballygawley to Carraroe section of the R284 has been cancelled today as a result of the crash to facilitate diverted traffic.
