There are calls for immediate work to be carried out on the Four Masters Bridge linking north Leitrim and Donegal.
The bridge which links Ballyshannon and Kinlough has been approved for improvement works through Donegal County Council.
The final tenders were submitted at the end of May and it’s hoped work will start by the end of this month.
However, this week it’s emerged that more structural damage is evident on the main part of the bridge which is an important link for locals and businesses in the area.
