Council says Lough Gill planning issues ‘being dealt with in court’

The issue of the closure of an aquatic based sports adventure business in Trawane Bay on Lough Gill was raised at this week’s monthly meeting of Sligo County Council.

The SUPforall stand up paddling business, owned by David O’Hara, was served with a closure order last month over planning issues.

Raising the issue, Independent Socialist Councillor Declan Bree asked the council to explain why legal proceedings were initiated against the adventure sports company.

In reply, councillor Bree was informed of issues regarding planning permission and that there was an ongoing court case on the matter.
