The ESB has restored power to most homes across the region following thunder and lightning yesterday.
Three hundred homes mainly in Sligo, Mayo, Meath, Westmeath and Cavan were affected.
Six thousand households across the country were affected at the height of the thunder and lightening storms yesterday afternoon.
A small number of people in the Carrigallen area of Leitrim are still without power as are some households in north west Donegal.
However, the ESB says teams have been out overnight and restored power to most other areas.
