Donegal Cathaoirleach Ciaran Brogan is to honour a successful company at a special reception next week.
Randox Laboratories which is now a worldwide operation but still retains its roots with research and development sites in its native Antrim as well as Dungloe in county Donegal – they will be honoured with the Cathaoirleach’s reception on the 7th of June.
Huge investment is continuing in the company with the aim of creating another 50 jobs in Research and Development.
The company started as a small start-up in Antrim by it’s founder and Managing Director Dr. Peter Fitzgerald in 1982.
It has since developed into a successful worldwide operation with 1400 staff delivering healthcare diagnostics in a number of countries.
Dr Fitzgerald told Ocean FM’s Up and Running Business Programme that he believes reinvesting in research and development is key to the success of the company:
