
Vince presents an hour of the best of traditional Irish Music every Sunday evening with his love and passion for storytelling and music shining through. Vince bought his first cassette recorder in 1965 and has loved the language of music ever since. Vince is the owner and proud collector of a rare collection of traditional Irish music from a large archive represented by the old 78 rpm gramophone recordings. Cois na Tine is proud to play these rare recordings from many famous musicians over the years.
About Vince: Vince is a Dubliner who lives with his beautiful wife Mona at the foot of the Knocknarea mountain in Co. Sligo. He has been collecting and recording music for over fifty years. Vince has traveled and performed with The Merchant Group as far away as Hong Kong and Australia. He has written and delivered papers on ‘The Origins and Development of Traditional Irish Music’ , ‘The History of the Irish National Anthem’, A Tinker I am, A Tinker am I , the music and song of the Traveling People’. All this experience has been beautifully retold throughout his shows.
