The death has occurred of Christina O’Malley (nee O’Reilly)

Ballincar, Rosses Point, Co. Sligo.

February 15th.  2022,    peacefully at home in the loving care of her son Shane.

Loving Mum and proud daughter of the late Phil and Anne O’Reilly, Imperial Hotel, Cavan and wonderful Mother of Phil and Shane.

Greatly missed by her loving sons, her siblings Breda, Marie and Philip, her dear in laws Elaine, Helen, Jim, Maeve , Marita, Maura, Noreen, Sean, her 2 sons, Phil and Shane, her supportive daughters in law Georgina and Svetlana, her cherished grandchildren, Alex, Charlie, Eddie, Ella and Rebakah and her many nieces and nephews.

She will also be sadly missed by all that knew her from her long and devoted teaching career, her golfing (mis) adventures and her long service volunteering in her community. Mum was a great helper of people , family or not didn’t matter , she loved a party, loved her life and all those in it.

May she rest in peace. Her strong faith made her calm in the face of death.

Christina will repose at the home of her sister Breda and brother in law James Elliott, “Rockwell House”, Drumelis, Cavan (H12 RF68)  tomorrow Thursday from 2pm until 8pm.   As Covid is still with us please be mindful of the Family and take every  care.

Removal on Friday morning to the Cathedral of Ss Patrick & Felim, Cavan, travelling via Farnham Rd. and Farnham St. and arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.30am.

Following Mass the cortege will travel up Main St. and onto St. Brigid’s cemetery, Killygarry, where Christina will be laid to rest in the Family plot.

No flowers by request, donations to the Samaritan’s would be greatly appreciated by Mum (She’ll know !).
