Sligo Rovers staged a dramatic comeback at the Showgrounds on Saturday night to earn a 2-2 draw against Cork City in the SSE Airtricity League of Ireland Premier Division.
Rovers were 2-0 down with 12 minutes of normal time remaining – Cork City had impressed for much of this game and led through goals from Jonas Hakkinen and former Rovers player Ruairi Keating.
But Glenfarne’s Eanna Clancy pulled a goal back for Rovers in the 79th minute from a Kailin Barlow corner.
Then, in injury-time, Barlow was involved in a move which saw the referee point to the penalty sport.
Max Mata duly converted to earn a share of the spoils for Rovers.
