County champions St Eunan’s have moved to within two points of league leaders Naomh Conaill in the Donegal Brian McCormick senior football league Division 1 following their hard-earned 1-6 to 0-8 victory against Aodh Ruadh at Mundy’s field in Ballyshannon on Sunday.
The home side had chances late on to earn a point but Eunan’s held on for a narrow victory.
In Towney, Mark McHugh scored 0-6 as Kilcar beat Glenswilly by 1-19 to 1-10, while Gweedore scored three first-half goals on their way to a 3-17 to 3-9 win over Bundoran at Gaelic Park.
In Sligo, St Mary’s won the LGFA All-County warm up league Division 1 title with a 6-16 to 2-14 win against Tourlestrane.
Glencar/Manor ladies were Spring League final winners on Sundaymorning with a 0-12 to 1-8 victory against Dromahair.
