After an absence of two years because of Covid, the Sligo Engineering Fair will return for its fourth annual event this coming Sunday at IT Sligo and online, from noon to 5pm.
The event is free but people should book tickets at sligoengineeringfair.ie to ensure their spot
This year’s fair will showcase how engineering is changing our lives through emerging technologies such as artifiical intelligence, 3D printing and data analytics.
Una Parsons, head of faculty of engineering and design at IT Sligo, says the primary aim of this event is to promote engineering and technology careers to young people, particularly female students who want to get more involved in science, technology, engineering and mathematics subjects.
