Easkey celebrate back-to-back Sligo hurling titles

Easkey retained their Sligo senior hurling title in emphatic fashion on Sunday at Markievicz Park with a 20-point demolition of rivals Naomh Eoin, as they ran out winners on a final scoreline of 3-21 to 0-10.

There were just four points between the sides at half-time (0-10 to 0-6) but Easkey took over the second half and fired him three goals to put real daylight between the sides.

Joint captains Bernard Feeney and Rory McHugh spoke to Ocean FM Sport’s Rian Bailey after the win:

Gavin Connolly and Finnian Cawley won an intermediate football title with St Farnan’s last weekend.

Now, they have a hurling county title with the sea-blues of Easkey.
