Dismay at public toilets in Ballyshannon



A local man has voiced his concern over the state of public toilet facilities in Ballyshannon and the effect it might be having on the tourism industry in the area.

Ballyshannon public toilets have been closed for a number of years as they await major refurbishment, the county council have placed a portaloo behind Ballyshannon bus station but the frequency of it’s cleaning has raised further concerns.

Fine Gael Councillor Barry Sweeney has called for a position of community caretaker to be created  to upkeep the facilities and reminds people that they can use the facilities in the Ballyshannon Leisure Centre:
