Garland Sunday mass to be broadcast from Tobernalt

For the second year in a row, the hugely popular Garland weekend ceremonies at Tobernalt Holy Well, outside Sligo town on the shore of Lough Gill, will not be taking place.

It’s because of the Covid virus and concern over the spread of the Delta variant.

The ceremonies normally take place from the 23rd to 25th of July.

However, there will be Mass broadcast from the holy well.

Fr Jim Murray is parish priest of Carraroe, the parish responsible for the holy well.
