Andrew McGinley requests urgent review of medical care provided to his wife

Andrew McGinley says he has no doubt his children would still be alive today if he was included as an advocate in his wife’s mental health care.

Last week, Deirdre Morley was found not guilty by reason of insanity for the murder of her three young children at her Dublin home in January 2020.

The Central Criminal Court heard Deirdre was suffering from a severe mental health disorder when she suffocated the children.

She had spent one month as an in-patient in St Patrick’s Mental Health Services in July 2019 following a breakdown.

Andrew McGinley who orginally comes from Donegal  has called for an urgent review of his wife’s medical care before the tragedy occurred.
