Donegal Constituency – Tallies suggest two SF seats on first count

Sinn Fein’s Padraig MacLochlainn is in a very strong position to be elected on the first count.

There is still a long way to go in the Donegal Constituency but early tallies are putting Padraig MacLochlainn to be elected along with Pearse Doherty in the first count in the 5 seat constituency.

Donegal count analyst and former Fianna Fail councillor, Brendan Byrne, says that half of Donegal have voted for Sinn Fein.

Speaking in relation to Micheal Martin’s comments about never entering into a coalition with Sinn Fein, Padraig MacLochlainn says the Fianna Fail leader will ‘find himself in a very lonely place’ if he continues that stance.
