A local TD is calling on the Government to put funding in place for the mobility allowance to be re-instated.
The mobility allowance which was available to people with disability or suffering from a illness was withdrawn and closed by the Government in 2013.
There have been many attempts to bring it back with the latest being in May 2018 which was again rejected in the Cabinet.
That’s according to Sinn Fein’s Spokesperson on Justice and Equality TD Martin Kenny
