No GP in Sligo or Leitrim offering abortion services

At the end of the first week where women can seek abortions in the country, no GP’s have signed up in Counties Sligo and Leitrim to offer the service.
Currently nine hospitals nationally have signed up to offer the service and it’s expected more will be in a position to do so in the near future.
200 Gp’s have now signed up to provide abortion services in the country.
The Irish Times reports that only 112 of these are opting to take referrals from the HSE’s specially created website, MyOptions.ie.
There are fears among some Doctors that they could be targeted by anti abortion protesters, especially if they are the only Doctor in an area.
There are an estimated 3,500 GP’s in the country
