There has been a traffic accident on Sligo’s Inner Relief Road at the junction with the Finisklin Road.
The collision between a car and a woman in her 50’s happened at 9.10am this morning.
The pedestrian was taken to Sligo University Hospital for treatment, where her condition is described as serious, while the female driver of the car was uninjured.
The Inner Relief Road is currently closed to South-bound traffic and emergency services are coordinating with Sligo County Council in getting diversions set up.
Motorists are asked to drive with caution in the area.
