A Donegal Councilllor says the withdrawal of DEIS funding has left some schools in poverty.
Cllr Micheal Choilm Mac Giolla Easbuig says a school had to borrow money off another parent to put oil in the tank so the children and staff could function in the school.
Cllr Mac Giolla Easbuig has written to Minister for Education Joe McHugh to reinstate the DEIS scheme, to enable schools to fully focus on children’s wellbeing and education.
