Maugherow residents want Minister to look into post office closure



A north Sligo community that has lost its local post office is now calling on the Minister for Communications to look into its case.

It’s after an independent review upheld An Post’s decision to close Ballinfull Post Office, which served the Maugherow area.

Local people insist they have not had an independent review of a submission they made for keeping their service.

Campaigners in the area are holding a public meeting tonight in Maugherow Hall at 8pm to discuss their situation.
