A Sligo Cllr has called on the Department of Transport to construct a mooring facility for small boats on Innishmurray Island.
Boat owners who operate tours to the island off Co Sligo have been warned to stay off it.
The Department of Transport says all visits to the island must cease on health and safety grounds.
