Sligo Rape Crisis Centre: Sexual violence is not a ‘life sentence’ and people can recover



The Sligo Rape Crisis Centre is reassuring victims that sexual violence is ‘not a life sentence’ and recovery is possible.

Trish Flynn, CEO of the Rape Crisis Centre which serves the Sligo, Leitrim and West Cavan area was commenting following the verdict reached in yesterday’s high profile trial in Belfast.

She says the trial has had a huge impact on people nationwide.

But she’s reassurring any victims of rape or sexual violence that they should seek help and come forward.
