Most workplace accidents occur in farming



Agriculture again accounted for most work place accidents last year, according to a new report.

The Health and Safety Authority’s report for 2017 reveals that there was one more workplace acident last year bringing the number to 47 compared to the previous year.

Two people were killed in Sligo according to the figures and one person lost their life in Leitrim.

The statistics show that elderly farmers are most likely to be killed in work related incidents.
