Sligo council looking at new model for entrepreneurs’ building space

Sligo County Council has confirmed that it is looking at another type of model similar to the building block model currently in place at a new building in Sligo town.

The Council along with the IT and the IDA were to enter a partnership which would allow entrepreneurs come together and use this building block as a hub to do business and foster new ideas for business in Sligo.

Council CEO Ciaran Hayes told Sinn Fein Councillor Thomas Healy this week that there is problems with the partnership which has nothing to do with the Council, the IDA or the IT.

He confirmed that they are looking at other models in a different building.

The Council would be investing up to €35,000 a year into such an initiative to promote business.
