The mother of the McGinley families living in the Connaughton Road Car Park in Sligo now says she would not accept any accommodation that Sligo County Council might offer her.
Mrs Matilda McGinley was speaking exclusively to Ocean FM News in her caravan in the Connaughton Road Car Park this morning
Her comments follow claims by the County Council in a report issued Monday that it has made ‘extensive’ efforts to find housing for the family, including offers of nine potential locations.
The McGinley family dispute this.
Matilda McGinley says she now wants nothing from the council.
However, Mrs Matilda McGinley emphasised she was speaking only for herself.
