Councillor calls for immediate review of Lough Talt water supply

A Sligo councillor says that Irish Water needs to immediately review supply options at Lough Talt, in West Sligo.
Sinn Fein Councillor Chris MacManus made the comments after a report released by Irish Water last weekend said that it would likely take 7 to 10 years to deliver a new drinking water supply.
Councillor MacManus said that ‘everyone’s primary concern should be the provision of safe drinking water to the 13,000 citizens reliant on the Lough Talt supply.’
Speaking to Ocean FM News, Councillor MacManus says Irish Water will now be looking to put temporary measures into place.
