A special surfing event is taking place in Strandhill this evening. The Strandhill Surf Folk photo exhibition is getting underway in the National Surf Centre on the beach front at 6.30 this evening.
The portrait exhibition features the community of Sligo surfers, from people who surfed in Sligo in the 1960s right up to the present day.
Photographer Mark Capilitan, who has organised the event, has been telling Ocean FM Sport’s Austin O’Callaghan all about it.
