Ireland’s Colsh & Sheehan fourth at rowing’s World Cup

Sligo’s Brian Colsh and his rowing partner Andrew Sheehan (Cork) finished fourth in their heat of the men’s doubles at the World Cup Regatta 2 in Lucerne, Switzerland, on Friday morning.

Colsh and Sheehan are a relatively new pairing for Ireland – and are not expected to medal at this event.

Nonetheless, they rowed well in their heat to finish fourth.

Colsh and Sheehan will have one eye on the World Rowing Championships in Canada, which take place this August.

The duo will now move in the repechage in Lucerne on Saturday.
