Sligo-based coast guard helicopter Rescue 118 assisted in a multi-agency operation following a serious road traffic collision in Mayo on Tuesday afternoon.
The collision, between a car and a motorcycle happened shortly before 3pm in Ballycroy.
After receiving treatment from paramedics at the scene, Rescue 118 airlifted the motorcyclist to Mayo University Hospital for further treatment of their injuries.
The driver the car was transferred to hospital by ambulance.
