Gardaí from Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit were operating a checkpoint last night when they discovered a vehicle was not insured & that the driver of the vehicle did not hold a valid driving licence.
The driver was then arrested on suspicion of drink driving and the vehicle was seized. Court proceedings will follow.
Gardaí are urging all motorists to drive safe and arrive alive to their destinations this Bank Holiday Weekend. And to not drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
