A warning has been issued to the community of Donegal Town after traces of oil were detected in the Wastewater Treatment Network at the pier pumping station on Friday.
Donegal County Council are asking the people in the Donegal Town area to please check the condition of their domestic or business oil tank, boiler and all connections & pipework linking the two for any sign of a leak.
If any leaks are found, residents are being advised to repair them as a matter of urgency.
