Sligo Rovers and Galway United played out a scoreless draw in Monday night’s SSE Airtricity League Premier Division game at the Showgrounds.
Rovers controlled large parts of the opening half but were unable to make the breakthrough with Max Mata and Ellis Chapman both guilty of missing clear opportunities.
Galway United looked the better side in the second-half and had the ball in the net – only for it to be disallowed following an accidental collision between Rovers keeper Ed McGinty and defender JR Wilson.
In the night’s other games, leaders Shelbourne drew 0-0 with Shamrock Rovers while Derry City beat St Pat’s 3-1.
