Sligo hurlers outplayed by London

Sligo’s trip to Ruislip on Saturday for their round two match in hurling’s Christy Ring Cup proved an unhappy one as London ran out emphatic 4-16 to 0-12 winners.

The sides were level at half-time at 0-9 each – but the hosts took over after the resumption.

Two early second-half goals from Jack Goulding and Sean Glynn for London in a four-minute spell did the real damage in terms of putting daylight between the sides.

The victory makes it two wins out of two for London, following their opening weekend victory against Tyrone seven days ago.

Saturday’s result was Sligo’s second loss in the competition.
