Dominant Donegal dismantle Derry

Donegal produced a championship performance for the ages in the sunshine of Celtic Park on Saturday evening with a 4-11 to 0-17 victory over holders Derry in their Ulster SFC quarter-final.

Four goals from Daire O’Baoill (2), Oisín Gallen (pen) and Bundoran’s Jamie Brennan sealed an emphatic win for Jim McGuinness’s side against a Derry team who were bidding to win their third consecutive Ulster title.

The result means Mickey Harte’s managerial record of never having beaten Jim McGuinness in the championship continues.

Donegal now await the winners of Sunday’s fourth and final quarter-final between Tyrone and Cavan in Omagh.
