News is breaking this afternoon from the Showgrounds – Benny the Bull, the popular Sligo Rovers mascot has gone missing!
Sligo Rovers are launching the fundraiser Benny’s Bull Run on Friday in Queen Maeve’s Square where there will be music, face-painting and other activities from 4pm to 6pm.
Benny’s Bull Run is an important fundraiser for the club with all monies raised going toward the Showgrounds redevelopment fund.
Donations can be made and further info can be found at the website www.bennysbullrun.com.
The club says it is imperative that Benny is found before Friday’s launch.
Speaking this afternoon from the Showgrounds, Sligo Rovers Chairman, Tommy Higgins is appealing to people across the north west to keep their eye peeled.
