Erin McLaughlin added to Republic of Ireland squad

Donegal’s Erin McLaughlin has been called up to the Republic of Ireland women’s squad ahead of the upcoming Euro 2025 qualifiers.

The Peamount United forward is now in contention to feature in the games against France and England, with the French game first up on Friday.

McLaughlin joins fellow Donegal natives, Amber Barrett and Tyler Toland in the Ireland setup.

She replaces Niamh Fahey, who left the squad yesterday with a calf problem.

Anna Patten is also in contention to feature for the Girls in Green, after receiving international clearance from FIFA earlier this week. The Aston Villa defender qualifies to play for the Republic of Ireland through her grandparents, who hail from Donegal and Galway.
