New car registrations are on the rise in the North West, despite the notable decline in electric vehicles being registered.
A report published by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry highlighted the decrease in EV uptake so far this year in comparison to the same stage of 2023.
Leitrim and Sligo have both shown a drop of 21% in EV registrations, while Donegal dropped at a rate of 15%.
However, there has been an 8% rise nationwide in the total of new cars sold when compared with last year.
